Janey has always loved dogs, from her first family pet basset hound to her big white shepherds to the border collies she currently has. She saw her first agility competition and was struck by the connection between handler and dog and wanted to pursue that initially as a hobby, and then as a career. After she and her husband Bill bought an agility business from a friend, they seized on an opportunity to buy property in Arvada that had two training buildings, two fields, and a house, and so began Team Spirit Agility! Now, Team Spirit Agility is a thriving dog sport training center (and the busiest agility training facility in Colorado), with four agility instructors, a nosework instructor, a rally instructor, and other trainers renting space teaching PreAgility, agility and Control Unleashed classes, and also offering conditioning and animal chiropractic services.
